Human Traces
Figures appear at the edge of the frame, or have just left it. Empty tables, passages, doorways, and public rooms hold the evidence of occupation without explaining what happened there.
Human presence does not always require a portrait. A chair left in place, a lit doorway, a figure crossing the edge of a street, or a room waiting to be used can carry its own narrative. This chapter looks at places shaped by people while resisting the need to explain who they are.
The sequence alternates between occupied and unoccupied frames. People become scale, interruption, or memory; architecture becomes a record of movement. The resulting photographs stay deliberately unresolved, leaving space for the viewer to notice what is present and what has just disappeared.
